The Altman Program in International Studies and Business at Tulane University is a special four-year undergraduate program that integrates liberal arts and business disciplines, extensive language instruction, and two study abroad experiences. Altman Scholars earn two degrees – a B.A. from the School of Liberal Arts and a B.S.M. from the A. B. Freeman School of Business. Altman Scholars specialize in a region of the world in which their chosen foreign language is spoken, and will be able to combine practical and theoretical knowledge of global economies with deep cultural and linguistic competency.
A core component of the program is intensive study abroad in each student’s region of specialty. While studying abroad, Altman scholars utilize this blog to share insights into their experiences, their challenges and their triumphs while maintaining a connection to the Altman community. Enjoy their perspectives on their cross-cultural experiences!
